I went for a walk with my husband and mother on Easter Saturday, at Frimley Green Recreation Ground. During the walk we discovered this sweet scene, created by local residents.

On a walk in Glebe Gardens in Basingstoke the other day, I caught this squirrel as it was scampering around the tree. We observed each other in the April sunshine. 

Any chance I get I take a photo of the moon. I'm almost obsessed! It's always mysterious and awe-inspiring. In the December chill it's a glowing disc against the haze just before sunrise.

I couldn't resist taking this shot of the smaller lake in Eastrop Park. The reflections captured the palette of a clear autumn day in November 2021. My walk that day was enlivened.

A strange phenomenon occurs every year in the River Loddon, running through Eastrop Park. Chalky deposits turn the river to a milky white, as seen here in November 2021. 

I took this image of our local heron in August 2021. The bird visits the location - Eastrop Park in central Basingstoke - frequently to fish, watch and rest. Seeing the heron always brings joy.

These ducks caught my eye in Eastrop Park and I enjoyed observing them as they made their way to the river. This picture was taken earlier in the summer of 2021.

On my recent walks in the mornings I encounter a few cats - this beauty is one I have only seen a couple of times. It was quite shy and I think it savoured the shadows.

There's something ethereal and magical about a sunrise in combination with water and trees. Reflections are enthralling. This was taken in May 2021, a rare sunny day that month.

Another image of the sunrise in Eastrop Park - this time I also captured the ice which had formed that day in February 2021. The clouds played their part, perfecting the winter wonder.

The squirrel was fast but I managed to take this image before it scampered upwards and away from me, This was taken in February 2021, in another favourite park called Glebe Gardens. 

We were told it would snow on this weekend in January 2021, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I was particularly struck by the silence and the stealth of the snow as it fell.

You will probably guess by now that I have a great love of the skies and clouds. Any excuse to snap a dramatic shot, this time in December 2020. The sun has the starring role but only just. 

One of my favourite buildings to walk by and around is St Michael's Church in central Basinstoke. Here it is in it's winter majesty. I took the picture in December 2020.

The swans come and go on the lakes in Eastrop Park. Whenever they appear I usually get a photo or two. This picture was taken in November 2020 when we had days of mist enshrouding the park.

The park is beside one of the  busiest roads in Basingstoke, but you would hardly know when you walk around it. The senses are all ignited in the autumn. This image is from October 2020.

The year 2020 truly was a very strange year - but it was also a very exciting year for me personally. I got married to my incredible husband James. Here he is at the border sign in Gretna Green on 25th September, on our special day.

Near St Michael's Church in central Basingstoke there is a pretty garden housing roses and sculpted trees. Here I've captured one example of some flower and bark art - from May 2020.

A favourite walk is to go through Basing Fen and onto Crabtree Plantation. Here is the fen in full summer mode - taken in August 2019. I love the sense that it could've looked like this centuries ago. A dreamscape made real.
